The company is Europe’s largest specialist manufacturer of PVC-U vertical sliding sash windows, extruding and fabricating made to measure ECOSlide windows at its headquarters in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire.
Kilsby Williams has been working with Victorian Sliders as the company’s auditors since 2022. The audit team, led by managing partner Simon Tee and senior manager Leighton Murphy, visit Victorian Sliders in Ammanford to ensure each audit is undertaken efficiently and effectively. As a result of the Kilsby Williams team spending time on site to meet with the team and understand the business and its continual development, a fantastic relationship has developed between the two businesses.
The firm also supports Victorian Sliders by regularly providing tax compliance and advisory services alongside its audit and accounting work, as well as specialist support to assist with transactions. In a usual annual cycle, partner Rob Meredith and manager James Davies help the company maintain compliance with regards to corporation tax, research and development, international tax and withholding taxes, VAT, PAYE and group rationalisation exercises.
The tax team’s expertise was particularly helpful to support the work being undertaken by Grant Thornton as vendor financial due diligence provider ahead of Victorian Sliders’ acquisition by a Swedish, listed multinational group. As part of the buyer’s due diligence, the Kilsby Williams team fielded questions and helped collate the information needed for the exercise to be completed.
Following the completion of the transaction, Kilsby Williams continued to support the company through the transition into a multinational group environment, advising on the more complex tax issues that arise as part of this.
