SOCS

With its educational technology expertise, SOCS’ software is transforming co-curricular management for over 1,200 of the world’s top-performing schools across 36 countries.

When the small Newport-based family business was founded in the 1990s, it initially served as a focal point for rugby fixtures for a school’s website. The platform has since evolved and developed into an essential trusted resource for educators and staff to streamline the communication and management of calendars, co-curricular activities, music and sporting events.

Having previously worked with another accountancy firm, SOCS approached Kilsby Williams in 2023 to assist with compliance work and provide payroll support. As SOCS continues to grow by over 20% year-on-year, the team wanted to ensure that a firm financial foundation was in place to help realise their ambitious business plans.

Ensuring a professional and smooth transition, the Kilsby Williams team supported SOCS with the preparation and submission of annual accounts, guidance and submission of the company’s Corporation Tax return and P11D forms, and payroll management.

Tom Watkins, Financial Controller at SOCS, said: “Since transitioning over from another firm of accountants in 2023, Kilsby Williams have exceeded our expectations. Their team is not only highly professional and knowledgeable, but also approachable and always available to help with any queries, no matter how big or small.

“From handling our year-end accounts, corporation tax (including R&D claims), to managing our monthly payroll, they consistently deliver their services with care and precision. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and their support has been invaluable to our business.”
